Aubrey - 6 months old

I think I have a new favorite age to photograph.
When the little ones can {almost} sit up on their own, yet they aren't mobile enough yet to get everywhere.
And they are just so happy and giggly.
This little beauty was no exception!
She was so fun to photograph and just the cutest little thing!

Best Family {Spring Edition}

Remember these guys from a few posts ago?
They are one of the cutest, funniest, easy-going families out there.
He's my cousin and she's another fellow photographer at Best Photography
(check out her facebook here and site here!)
I've enjoyed getting to know her better and talking "photo stuff" with her.
Anyway, she contacted me a couple months after their last family session to set up another family session with me.  I didn't think too much of it except that she likes to have family pictures done a lot!
But then, she informed me of her idea with these pictures.
She just had her baby at the beginning of the Winter.
They are going to have family pictures during each season and she's going to get a similar picture from each season printed and make a collage on her wall.
That way, they'll have a way of showing how much their little girl grew through her first year.
Cutest. Idea. Ever.
I'm just sad I didn't hear of this idea sooner.
Anyway, enjoy a few photos of the Best Family: Spring Edition!

Craeden - Cake Smash

I was looking forward to this session months ahead of time when his mom asked me at the beginning of the year.
This was my first "cake smash" session (besides my own guy) that I did and I LOVED it.
This mom was another one that was prepared with mostly everything, from the amazing cake to the banner, to other props, and basically all I had to provide was the backdrop and the camera ;)
He was so happy and smiley the whole time.
And when it was time for the cake smash, he didn't waste any time and dove right in!
Such a happy little fella.
And when itcx

James {newborn}

One thing that I love for newborn sessions is when the parents have a sentimental blanket, or one that fits the theme in the room, and that's exactly what this mom had in mind!
Loved the brown chevron and it went perfect with the outfits picked out.
This little guy took a little work to get to stay asleep, but once he did, we ended up getting some great shots.
Adorable little James!

his good big sister!

His dad is an E-gamer, so mom wanted a shot with his headphones to surprise the dad.
Loved the idea!
